Collect client receipts on WhatsApp
Most clients already send their accountant photos of receipts on WhatsApp – into a personal chat, at month-end, with no context. Pennies turns that habit into a proper process.
What changes
- Clients send to the Pennies number instead of your personal phone.
- Each receipt is read – supplier, date, amount, VAT details where shown – and filed by client and month.
- Pennies asks the client what it was for, while they still remember.
- Blurry and duplicate receipts are flagged straight away, so the client can resend.
- You review everything in one queue, ask questions from the dashboard, and export to Excel, CSV or Xero.
Setting up a client
Start a practice trial and Pennies gives you an invite link. Send it to a client; they tap it, press send in WhatsApp, and they're linked to your practice. Nothing to install.
What it costs
R250 a month plus R69 for each client who sends receipts that month. Clients who send nothing that month cost nothing.
Questions
What if a client sends receipts for several businesses?
Pennies asks which business a receipt belongs to when it can't tell, and files each under the right one.
Can my staff work on the same clients?
Yes. Add colleagues to the practice; each can be limited to the clients they look after.
